Use the power of Amazon (TM) and generate
income worldwide with your website!
The mediaANT "Sidebar for Amazon" provides a powerful solution by which visitors
to your portal can shop more than a million items which Amazon has on offer. Sophisticated
cache mechanisms maximize performance, and detailed design features allow for flawless
integration in your website.
Amazon
(TM) Associate programs are among the most successful
affiliate programs with more than 1,000,000 participants worldwide! They include
Amazon USA, Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, Amazon France, Amazon UK and Amazon Japan.
The Sidebar supports all Associate programs at the same time and, upon request,
shows your visitors the products of the Amazon
(TM) shop available
in their country. This optimizes the chances that your visitors shop via your homepage
and generate income for you!
You can define exactly which types of products will be accessible via the Sidebar
on your homepage, and you can so adapt the Sidebar content to perfectly harmonize
with your website.
It is up to you to define how the items in your Sidebar should be displayed. The
structure can be set up by way of html-template. With the help of replacement tags
you designate the exact position of the data to be displayed. In addition there
is full .css file support.
The module is fully controlled via the
"Settings" section of the
module. There you can create the design within only a few minutes and define which
articles you want to display. All settings are self-explanatory and are fully described
in the Help file.
The "Sidebar for Amazon" is the first DotNetNuke module to be included in
the Amazon Solutions Catalog.
Top Features
Worldwide Access to All Amazon E-Commerce Services
With the mediaANT Sidebar for Amazon you can access all available
Amazon E-Commerce Services.
Adjusting to Browser Country Settings
The Sidebar can be set to auto-detect the country settings of your
visitors’ browsers and connect to the appropriate Amazon E-Commerce Services in
their country. Visitors from France, Belgium and Luxemburg will be shown items from
Amazon.fr, visitors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland items from Amazon.de,
etc.
Supports All Available Product Groups
You can provide access to items of any and all product groups in
your Sidebar. Depending on the Amazon E-Commerce Services selected by you, the appropriate
product groups will be shown. Product groups include among others “Books”, “DVD”,
“Electronics”, etc.
Design via Templates and Replacement Tags
It is up to you to define how the items in your Sidebar should be
displayed. The structure can be set up by a HTML-Template (e.g., HTML-Table). With
the help of replacement tags you designate the exact position of the data to be
displayed (e.g., . [TITLE], [AUTHORS], [LISTPRICE] …). Altogether there are 32 replacement
tags to choose from! A separate template can be designed for alternating items.
In addition, there is full support of css files.
Display of Initial Items
To show visitors to your homepage a pre-selection of items, you can define
which items should be displayed initially in the Sidebar. This can be done either
by assigning certain keywords (e.g., "Photoshop", "Dan Brown", "Shakira", "X-Box")
to items by which they are called up, or you define the items via their Amazon Product
Number (ASIN) itself. This display will be cached for all visitors so as not to
impede the speed of your homepage (see below)!
Caching of Initial Items
To guarantee maximum performance of the Sidebar, initial items are
being cached! This means that the speed of your homepage is not affected by the
Sidebar! The duration in number of hours during which the cache is to be valid can
be set. This ensures that the most current data is always on display.
User Search Cache
You can cache the result of a search conducted by a visitor. In this case,
the Sidebar will always show the visitor his or her last found article. This cache
deletes itself automatically when the user closes the browser.
Support of Proxy Servers
Internet connections via proxy servers are also supported. All you need
to do is to enter the address of the proxy server in the Settings section of the
Sidebar. This requires, of course, that the proxy server is configured to allow
access to the Internet.
Simple and quick configuration
The Sidebar is fully controlled via the "Settings" section of the module.
There you can create the design within only a few minutes and define which articles
you want to display. All settings are self-explanatory and are fully described in
the Help file.
