This module will allow you to perform fully automatic DotNetNuke (DNN) backup and restoration of your DotNetNuke portal, regardless whether it runs from local or remote database server – there is no need for extra security and host provider cooperation. Through our experience, discount WEB hosting companies often do not provide any means to backup or restore your database. Because oftentimes database is located somewhere in the provider's local network and is not accessible in any other way then through a connection string. Out of unsuccessful attempts to resolve database backup issue with the provider, we have created this module therefore avoiding any need for their cooperation. Initially this module was limited to taking a database snapshot and storing it in XML file, which is later could be downloaded and restored. In this version of the module we added ability to backup and restore host files, thus allowing complete DNN instance backup and restoration. This module is designed to work on DotNukeNuke 4.x running ASP.NET 2.0 under MS SQL Server 2000, SP 4, SQL Express,MS SQL 2005 or MSDE (MS Desktop Engine) database.

I purchased this product a few months ago never dreaming what would happen last week. I loaded a new skin onto my local test environment and all was well. Fantastic module - allows you to experiment and restore your community to any backup point. Can easily create a "Mirror" site to allow even more experimenting. Automatic backup feature allows you to backup every 10 minutes, hour, day, or week. If something happens to your community just restore the last backup. GODADDY sucks. If you've hosted your DNN site on GODADDY, bu this module and move it to another host NOW before you have trouble with your site. GODADDY WILL NOT provide you with any means to backup you DNN database. Their tech support is useless for DNN sites. Get this module and move your site NOW.
