Cross-Browser, Flicker Free Media and Streaming Video
The KodHedZ Video Library is a rich media player with built in file streaming for quick playback of large videos. The administration elements facilitate large video uploads with no data loss or time-outs. We have uploaded videos over 100 Mb with no timeout issues.
The integrated administration screen can be used with a Content Account tied into the KHZ Content Server or can be used standalone with the current database, it's your choice.
This module displays the videos contained in your account on the Content Server (or the local file system), delivering them via secure Web Services. Viewers can scroll through the list and select videos to play. Playback resolution is a large 420 x 320 px, with thumbnails measuring 100 x 100 px.
This is a groundbreaking module for DotNetNuke! It is the first module that uses Silverlight (Windows Presentation Foundation Everywhere) and it also is the first public example of a databound Silverlight (0.9 beta) control integrated with anything than a htm or aspx page. Silverlight is a new web technology from Microsoft that allows vector graphics, rich animations, and streamlined webrequests without postbacks in your webpage. Up until now, the DotNetNuke community has not been able to enjoy this new wave, but all that has changed.
The video files must be in WMV (Windows Media Video) format. Silverlight is supported on Firefox 1 & 2, Internet Explorer 6 & 7, and Safari by downloading the appropriate plugin from the Microsoft website. The user is notified of this free download with a friendly message.
